Adobe is now able to bring the best of 2D and 3D together to create the best products for our customers. In the case of Photoshop, we are able to achieve that thanks to a new layer named Layer~01 and this new layer will combine 2D and 3D workflows together in a unified workflow.
When working with Substance, there is no longer a need to work collaboratively with other designers. Photoshop can create perfectly the right look all by itself. Photoshop will not benefit from working with other designers’ content and therefore will never need the bridge between 2D and 3D in this category. 2D and 3D design is now completely separate in this context; the bridge is a bit less necessary.
